In Bedlam Derek Landy captures the Skullduggery Pleasent feeling once again and captures with a well written and thought out plot that brings many surprises to the table. If you've read this far Bedlam is right for you
Habe das Buch innerhalb von 2 Tagen verschlungen. Es passiert so viel, vieles davon war schon bekannt aus dem vorherigen Buch, aber vieles auch nicht. Es wurden Fragen beantwortet, die schon vor 10 Büchern aufgekommen sind und im Gegensatz zum letzten Buch hat man auch wieder ein bisschen mehr von alten Charakteren gesehen, die ich zuvor vermisst habe.Es ist actionreich und witzigund ganz, wie wir Skulduggery Pleasant kennen und lieben. Ich kann es nur empfehlen, ich habe es sehr genossen.
Es werden viele Handlungsstränge in diesem Buch begonnen und nur wenige beendet. Was aber auch zu erwarten ist von einem Mittelteil einer Buchserie. Das Buch ist wie immer intelligent und witzig geschrieben, die üblichen Actionszenen kommen hier nicht zu kurz. Walküres Schuldgefühle werden gut aufgearbeitet und man erhält Antworten auf Fragen, die teilweise noch aus den aller ersten Büchern der Serie stammen. Landy hat wie immer keine Hemmungen in tiefgründige und auch komplexe und teilweise politische Fragen einzutauchen und diese auf seine ganz eigene Art und Weise zu beantworten.Alles in allem ist Bedlam um einiges besser als Midnight und nahezu perfekt, wenn auch im Mittelteil gelegentlich etwas dünn. Aber ich bin vollkommen zufrieden und habe genau das bekommen, was ich mir erhofft und auch erwartet habe. Teilweise sogar noch mehr als das.Dieses Buch ist für alle Derek Landy Fans ein MustRead und nur zu empfehlen für Actionliebhaber mit einer Vorliebe für Detektivgeschichten.
Definitely my favorite book out of Phase 2. Can’t say much without spoiling things, but it definitely felt like it was able to combine the feel of the new skulduggery series with the nostalgic feel of the old ones :)The only thing I didn’t like were the fact that I sometimes felt lectured about politics. Pride, refugees, the American president ... it’s not much but for someone that hates politics in entertainment (it feels forced) it was a bit annoying sometimes.
